Local SEO captions for small business social media put one primary phrase in the hook—{service} in {city}—then prove it with a real price, area, or hours. Pixipie is an AI marketing platform for small businesses that helps you plan, create, automate, and publish social content—and reply to Google reviews—from one dashboard. This post is the writing rule. Hashtag craft lives in the evergreen [hashtag and caption strategy](/resources/hashtag-and-caption-strategy-for-social-media); the [weekly planner](/blog/weekly-social-media-planner-for-indian-smbs) is where those captions get dates.

“Amazing deals coming soon!!!” cannot be found, trusted, or booked. “Keratin at ₹4,999 in Navrangpura this Saturday; walk-in or WhatsApp” can. Search and AI assistants quote named entities. They skip filler.

## Why social captions are local SEO now

People ask ChatGPT, Google, and Maps the same way they used to ask a neighbour: who does this service in this area, and what does it cost. Your Instagram caption will not replace a Google Business Profile, but a feed full of true local lines is what you reuse in replies, Stories, and LinkedIn. Inconsistency—city on the listing, no city on the post, a fantasy discount in the caption—trains both humans and models to ignore you.

Pixipie is not a music visualizer or an event photo app. It drafts Facebook Page, Instagram professional, and LinkedIn captions from business context. You still own the facts.

## The one-hook rule

Pick **one** primary phrase per post. Examples (illustrative prices, not offers):

- Keratin in Navrangpura
- Dental clinic in Ahmedabad
- Sunday thali in Gota
- Personal training in Satellite

Put that phrase in the first two lines. Do not also cram “best,” “cheap,” “#1,” and three nearby localities into the same hook. Later in the 14-day mix you can rotate long-tails: “keratin after Holi,” “pediatric dental in west Ahmedabad,” “festive thali near SG Highway.” That is a topic cluster, not stuffing.

If you do not serve a walk-in area, name the delivery radius or the city you actually ship to. Ecommerce sellers should still say India and INR when the offer is local; see the [ecommerce social guide](/resources/social-media-marketing-for-ecommerce-stores) rather than cloning it here.

## A caption skeleton that converts

1. **Hook:** service + city (or area).
2. **Proof:** price, hours, landmark, or a real constraint (“closed Monday”).
3. **Who it is for:** one sentence, not a persona novel.
4. **CTA:** call, WhatsApp, walk-in, or a URL you own—only channels you answer the same day.
5. **Hashtags last:** eight to twelve after the text is honest. Use the [hashtag generator](/tools/ai-hashtag-generator).

Draft in the [AI Post Creator](/features/ai-post-creator), then run the [AI publish checklist](/blog/ai-social-post-review-checklist-before-publish). If the model invented a sale, delete the sentence. If it omitted the city, add it once.

## Examples you can rewrite (not copy with fake prices)

**Salon**
Keratin in Navrangpura this weekend is ₹4,999 only if that is on your board. First-time clients: we patch-test. WhatsApp the chair you want; we do not hold mystery “limited seats.”

**Clinic**
Dental consult in Ahmedabad — Sunday hours 10–1 this week. Bring the last X-ray if you have one. Call the desk; we do not take medical history in comments.

**Restaurant**
Sunday thali in Gota, price as printed on the board. Last order 3 p.m. Parking in the lane behind the shop. No invented “50% Diwali off.”

**Gym**
Beginner strength in Satellite, 7 a.m. batch, six seats because the floor is that size. DM only if you will answer; otherwise the number in the bio.

Watermark the creative so it looks owned—[brand watermarks](/features/brand-watermarks) and the [media library](/features/media-library). Local language in the first line plus a stolen-looking template is how people assume the shop is fake.

## What to never put in a local caption

- City names you do not serve
- Discounts not on the till
- “Limited seats” without a real number
- Medical or legal claims you cannot stand behind
- Competitor insults
- Hashtag walls that repeat the city twenty times
- A CTA to a dead phone or a WhatsApp no one checks

For festival weeks, keep the same hook and add the date: “Keratin in Navrangpura, 28–31 October.” Pair with the [Diwali social media campaign](/blog/diwali-social-media-campaign-for-indian-smbs-2026). Clinics can go deeper in [social media for dental clinics in India](/blog/social-media-for-dental-clinics-in-india).

## LinkedIn and Google replies use the same facts

LinkedIn for a professional practice still wants service + city in the first lines, with a more educational middle. Do not paste an Instagram emoji block onto a Company Page. See [LinkedIn for Indian small businesses](/blog/linkedin-marketing-for-indian-small-businesses).

Google review replies should repeat the same entities: thank the reviewer for the cleaning in Ahmedabad, not for “choosing us on this amazing journey.” Scripts: [Google review reply scripts](/blog/google-review-reply-scripts-for-local-businesses).

## How to brief Pixi without getting generic output

In the creator, write the brief like a manager, not a mood:

“Educational post. Audience: first-time keratin clients in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. Price ₹4,999 if still current. CTA WhatsApp. Do not invent a discount. Tone: professional, short.”

Then edit. Consistency of facts across planner, campaigns, and replies is what models and customers remember. [AI Campaigns](/features/ai-campaigns) can fill a 14-day mix from those briefs on Solo and above; the [content planner](/features/content-planner) holds the dates either way.

Local SEO on social is not a trick. It is refusing to publish a caption you could not say out loud at the door. [Start free on Kick Starter](https://app.pixipie.com/signup), put city, services, and prices in the business profile, and make the next hook a sentence a neighbour would recognise.
